June 30, 2022 at 10:00:00 AM

The CSO communities, Hackathons, and Medical Manager, together with the Association of Computational Linguistics, organized, between June 17-19, H3 - Healthcare in Hospitals Hackathon, 2nd edition. This year's competition was devoted to innovations of digital transformation solutions in Romanian hospitals.
CGM Software Romania supports H3-Healthcare in Hospitals Hackathon as the main Sponsor, and Adriana Mînăstireanu, AI Specialist at CGM, accepted the challenge of being a mentor for the teams in the competition.
June: How important are innovative technologies, and what is their role in the development of hospitals?
Adriana Mînăstireanu, CGM: Living in this technology world I think is important for all domains, not only healthcare, to adopt an innovative way in which they deliver their services. Technology will make a great impact in hospitals taking into account that there are a number of people that need distance assistance, and they don’t receive it on time, at the moment we speak. Also, technology will help in offering for their patients good diagnosis based on their current symptoms not the way we are currently treated where we receive experimental medications.
June: What opportunities does Hackathon offer for young people?
Adriana Mînăstireanu, CGM: In my opinion, I think this opportunity will offer them the chance to innovate and come up with solutions that maybe one day someone will use. Also will help them in getting to know new people from which they can learn and develop in their career.
„Being a mentor at H3 - is an opportunity to step outside the daily routine”
June: How did you accept the challenge of being a mentor for the competition teams?
Adriana Mînăstireanu, CGM: I have always been an open person that likes to share knowledge, collaborate with people with whom I don't have a natural connection and help them find the best path forward. Being a mentor at H3 - Healthcare in Hospitals Hackathon is an opportunity to step outside the daily routine and meet new young people passionate about AI in healthcare from whom I can gain new perspectives and fresh ideas!
June: At CGM Software Romania you create software products for the international medical markets. What does this mean, and how vital are these to the medical future?
Adriana Mînăstireanu, CGM: This kind of software will facilitate the way the patients receive their treatment in different situations. It will create a safe environment where everyone will be able to get access to the medical world in due time. It is very important for people to feel that they are appreciated and their needs are listened to, because in this way they will get confidence in the medications they will receive.
„It is very important for them to be guided and helped when their trust is down”
June: Young people need initiation to reach their potential. How do you do this at CGM Software, and how important is the existence of mentoring programs?
Adriana Mînăstireanu, CGM: Young talents need to be appreciated and motivated in all that they make, if you give them trust then they will be able to change the world. I believe that if we go with the premise people first and then implement different software, everyone will be able to develop everything they have in their mind.
